Recycling Equipment Grant Guidelines -

* Open to Nebraska organizations:  municipalities and other government entities, non-profits and recycling companies.

* Examples of equipment that may be funded:  forklifts, skid loaders, balers, recycling trailers, recycling carts, cargo trailers, lift-gates, can crushers, dumpsters, trucks, portable loading ramps and more.

* Equipment already purchased is not eligible.

* Call us to discuss your plans before completing a grant application.

* Grant applicants are expected to provide some level of cash match/cash contribution and/or in-kind contribution (such as labor, materials, donations or volunteer time).

* Obtain at least two equipment bids (with certain exceptions).

Our Recycling Equipment Grant is one of 94 projects in 2011 receiving $15,412,788 in grant awards from the Nebraska Environmental Trust.  The Trust is funded by proceeds from the Nebraska Lottery and has awarded more than $172 million to more than 1,200 conservation projects in Nebraska since 1994.

The Nebraska State Recycling Association is a membership organization of public and private organizations, as well as citizens, and has been a recycling advocate for Nebraska since 1980.
